now that they are feeling better, they are back playing with their toys and each other.

i'm always so impressed when i watch these kids play. they have such vivid imaginations. i don't always sit in their playroom because they don't play as well when i'm in there. i don't know how to explain it. it's like they are competing for my attention, so they end up fighting more than playing. anyway, i could hear them playing with the dinosaurs, so i sat on the stairs and listened to them. they had meat eating dinosaurs and vegetarian dinosaurs. they were talking about how they were going to cook the dinosaur meat. there was even gold-eating dinosaurs. i guess the pirates didn't hide their treasure good enough from the dinosaurs! anyway, i came down to tell them that i loved their story and i had to take a picture of the t-rex with the dinosaur in it's mouth!
after james got home, they worked on my third birthday surprise. lately, hot tamales have been my daily go-to candy. i need to stop because the scale does not want to be my friend anymore! but it's my birthday week, and i just couldn't dare hurt their feelings by not accepting it! i thought it was cute that james had the kids make paper tamales. long after the real things are eaten (don't ask how quickly that box was consumed), i will have these to look back on and remember this special week. seriously, LOVING this birthday week.
