asserting himself

brandon loves the little yellow school bus computer. he doesn't have a clue to what he's doing with the pen, but he always seems to get it to do something. he could sit there for hours playing with it.

then big brother shows up and wants to play with him:

and yay for brandon paying attention!

but then brandon decided he didn't want anymore help!

i could hear jared telling brandon sweetly to let him show him.

brandon would scream at him and then he started trying to have a tug of war with jared over the bus.

now i know that technically brandon had it first, but jared was trying to help him out. boys. anyway, that is the breakdown of brandon's first fight with his big brother. seriously, this baby boy can hold his own! as cute as it was, i ended up taking away the bus because brandon was getting so mad and i was afraid that he'd accidentally get hurt by jared.

jared was still laying down after i took the bus away. brandon evidently was not over losing the school bus or rough-housing with his big brother because he "attacks" jared!

we play this game called "get the belly," and for the first time it was brandon getting one of the big kids. it's usually us trying to get his belly and blow raspberries on him. it was really sweet to see him today playing with jared. for a long time brandon has kind of been the odd man out due to the age difference, but now that he's a little more sturdy, he can get up in their business. these pictures crack me up!

if you don't let me get your belly, i will smash your face!

every day is a new adventure with these kids. so glad that i'm able to stay home and catch these sweet moments between them.
