on our way out...

this morning before we headed out to dallas, we had a post op appointment with lauren's ent doctor. thank goodness for goldfish to keep brandon occupied during the wait! anyway...her eardrums are healing!!! we are so excited for that news. and even though she barely passed her hearing test, the doctor is not that concerned. he said that he'd test her again in the next 6 months to see if there is any further deterioration. yay for good news!

after a little drama on the homefront, we made our way to dallas. we were surprised that there wasn't much traffic. we were all glad to get out of the car though, and i was happy to see this:

well, i was glad to see the cake...not that big number. ooohhh. i'm getting old! i told selena to surprise me this year on the type of cake she made. this year it's strawberry. and yes, i took a swipe of the frosting when no one was looking!

we had fun playing outside after dinner and dessert. lauren always likes it when people push her on the swing. but not too high. if you push her too high, she freaks out and the fun is all over. ha ha.

this was such a funny moment. jared was trying to help get brandon's attention as i wanted a picture of him with his grandparents. he was doing what we call the "indian sound" and brandon started copying him. that was the first time i'd seen brandon do that. made us all laugh! i love that my kids have such cute personalities. we are blessed.
