we take great pride in the fact that since kindergarten, jared has not been tardy or missed one day of school. that changed this morning. he missed his very first day of school. i could not in my right mind send him to school today even though he cried and pleaded with me to let him go. he LOVES going to school. he looked horrible. pale. and he still said his stomach hurt. every other hour i would let him have a little something off the B.R.A.T. diet. i don't know if this stomach bug affected him differently than lauren. she was fine last night and bouncing off the walls this morning. james went back to the office today, but i warned him to stay in his office instead of hanging out in the cubicles just in case. and so far, so good on brandon and i staying healthy! although he's probably the one that brought the germ home! ha ha.
tonight james and the kids worked on surprise #2. when james and i were dating and jared was the only baby, he gave me a mani/pedi as a birthday gift. i thought it was sweet that he made a similar card with the three kids. and as much as i love a manicure, they just don't last (you know...because i work so hard around the house). i asked lauren if she wanted to come with me to be pampered, and she started jumping up and down and screaming "YES!!!" they helped each other trace their hands, and then cut them out themselves. gotta love that she colored her own nails. and check out all the candles on my big cake!
