this morning i welcomed 32 with big hugs and kisses from james and the kiddos. lauren woke up in the best mood and could hardly contain herself through breakfast because she was so excited about getting to go get her nails done. after washing up, we got dressed and made our way to the nail salon. here is our little diva getting the princess treatment.
i love how i told the lady no to the little designs, and then 10 minutes later the lady says, "she'd like a design." ummm...of course she would. :)
by this time, she was over the princess treatment and ready to go! afterwards, we walked over to this cute little store and i found a cute ruffled tee. lauren wanted to go to our favorite store...target...but we had to hurry up and get home because danielle and jake were on their way over for lunch.
it has been a while since i've had birthday crawfish, so that's what i wanted for my birthday lunch. i was excited when danielle and jake said that they wanted to come eat with us. i was hoping my brother could come, but he was out of town on business.
me and my sister(yes, this is the one that made me eat tender vittles)
danielle and i always make fun of people that make the smoochie face to the camera or the peace sign.
my lunch. yum. i ate 4 lbs. of crawfish!
jake playing with the heads!
brandon making silly faces at the camera. we were laughing because we thought he was imitating me making peace signs with the crawfish!
james was having all sorts of issues peeling the crawfish. one big one sprayed him with juices!!!(and really no good picture of jared b/c he was not interested in taking one)
after lunch, we came home and did a quick bathroom break and then we headed to the coach store. i got a new brown purse with a matching wallet, and a small black wallet for my small black purse. yay! on our way home, frances called to say she was near the house and wanted to stop by for a few minutes. she brought me a sweet card. love my friends!
speaking of friends...my sweet bff crystal sent me a gorgeous necklace and earrings all the way from west virginia.
in the late afternoon, anita and her boys stopped over with a bouquet of tulips and a card. she offered to take the kids to the park, but we were on our way out for dinner. we ended up letting her take them and then we went out and grabbed some fast food. i wasn't really that hungry after my big lunch, so it wasn't a big deal. besides, we're going to be continuing my birthday celebrations for a while!
after the park, we invited them back over to our house for dessert.
and the kids loved it too!!!
