thank you continental!

every week i get an email from continental airlines about cheap flights. this week i saw that they were offering a really sweet deal from houston to nyc. i said to james, "maybe we should consider making a trip to see johnny." i don't remember if i called johnny or carol first to talk about my idea, but come to find out that johnny got the same email and he booked a trip down here! a special treat for carol since she would get to spend mother's day weekend with both of her boys.

since i knew mother's day was going to be about carol and her boys, i requested that i got to pick saturday night's restaurant. i ended up choosing with jared because he insisted that he celebrate round two with carol and uncle johnny. so we decided on one of our very favorites...the happy buddha...our favorite hibachi steakhouse. yay for the guy standing out front who was willing to take a picture of the seven of us. and YAY for all of us looking at the camera and smiling!

if anyone is counting (besides jared), this is round two of birthday celebrations!

we busted out the music equipment while we waited for johnny and james to get back from randall's. jared wanted to have blue bell ice cream for his birthday celebration. i love how the kids love music. love my future little band geeks!
