who doesn't love waking up to funny, whipped cream pancakes made by daddy on a holiday?
lauren's pancake: lauren, jared's pancake: darth vader we had a special treat lined up for the kids today. after several months of not seeing their grammy, they finally got to see her. they LOVE to make things, so we decided to have them make some memorial day celebration cupcakes.

jared, harold, grammy & lauren getting ready to taste their yummy cupcakes!the kids had a great time visiting with grammy & harold. they had been waiting a long time to see them. hopefully they won't go that long between visits again.
and while visits with grandparent's and cupcakes are lots of fun, it's important to remember what this holiday is about. thank you to all of our friend's and those we don't know who have fought to protect our country and our freedom. without these men and women, our world would not be as we know it. our thoughts and prayers are with those who are fighting overseas today and for those families who have lost a soldier.
