retreat!

for my mother's day gift i asked for a weekend away from the chaos of our house. i was invited to a scrapbooking retreat outside of houston, so james gave me the green light to go. for the last two weeks i have been organizing my supplies and printing pictures, sketches, and flagging inspiration ideas in all sorts of magazines. my weekend finally arrived and here i am all ready to go!

carol came over at 2:30 to watch the kids so that i could get a head start out of town. she was shocked to see how much stuff i was bringing. multiply this by like 100. that's what didn't get packed! hopefully i didn't forget anything!

i love that big bag of ribbon. can you believe that sometimes i'm working on a page and i will want to use ribbon and cannot find one piece of ribbon to match?

anyway, i'm off on my husband-free, kid-free weekend with the girls! although i think it's kind of funny that i'm supposed to be getting a break from it all, but i'll be crafting with pictures of them the whole weekend! :)
