super saver

today i was a super saver! i purchased brandon's carseat at babies r us today and saved $44. i did end up getting the carseat pictured on january 6th to protect my sweet boy while riding in the car. i stopped at home depot on the way home to finally purchase a new vent hood for the kitchen. (don't ask!) anyway, the sign said it was $147, but it rang up for $219 at the register. come to find out it was not on sale anymore, but the awesome people at home depot honored the sign. so yay for saving $72!

i know we are only 2 weeks into 2010, but shopping is like a beloved hobby to me. so i am totally patting myself on the back for keeping up with my new year's resolution to be a better steward of our money. no more wasting money buying things just to have them. no more buying things because i'm having a bad day or because i'm frustrated with something. besides, i'm running out of room in our house to put all this stuff!
