as if...

i needed anything else "to do" on my list! for the next 365 days, i have committed to take a daily photo of something going on in our lives. whether it's a picture of the never-ending pile of laundry by the back door or a picture of someone pouting in timeout...i just want to document our daily lives. here's to a new decade, a new year. happy 2010!!!


a year ago on new year's eve, i was cuddled up next to brandon in tch's nicu. anita and jay invited james and the kids over for dessert, movies and games. it was so kind of them to make sure that the kids brought 2009 in with a fun memory. we wanted them to know that we were still appreciative of them and their friendship a year later, so we had them over at our home this year. we made THE BEST strawberry margaritas, hamburgers, homemade onion rings, french fries, chips and the best corn dip ever. anita brought some of the best apple pie i have ever eaten and some vanilla ice cream. the kids played monopoly and watched a few movies. the adults played taboo. the girls won! and yay for anita and jay remembering the champagne! oops. bad hosts! and the glasses we drank out of were from james' grandmother. love getting to use her dishes.

obviously not pictured is brandon. he went to bed at his normal time. he tried to stay up past 8 p.m.! and jared was crashed out on a beanbag. had he taken a nap like his sister did, he would have been awake for the big hullabaloo.
