braids

every morning after lauren gets dressed for pre-school, we fix her hair. i let her choose whether it's in a ponytail, pigtails or down. this morning i told her i was going to do pigtails since i found some cute gymboree curlie q barrettes that matched her outfit. why am i not surprised when the conversation goes this direction?


lauren: "mommy, i want my hair braided."
me: "lauren, i don't know how to braid hair."
lauren: "well, my awesome grammy knows how to braid my hair!"

uh...yeah. we called grammy and filled her in on her awesomeness, and she not only promised lauren that she'd braid her hair next time she is in town, but she is going to teach me how to braid her hair. that made lauren a very happy girl this morning!
