he's no scaredy cat

it's the first day of summer vacation for the kids! grammy was ready to see the kids, so we drove down to her house for a little visit. jared and lauren are scared to death of abby. brandon took right to her.


i am okay with jared and lauren being frightened. i think there is something healthy about being afraid of animals. especially when it comes to animals that can maul your face off. you never know when they might snap. but seriously, jared and lauren are just over the top scared of any kind of animal. they see a bee and they scream. a bird. a squirrel, a little roly poly. seriously ridiculous. my biggest thing is i don't want them to make brandon a little scaredy cat. well, our fearless brandon is not scared. even when mom let abby out of her kennel, brandon was clapping his hands and squealing. i was hoping that jared and lauren would see brandon being brave and at least try to pet her, but jared had run out into the garage and lauren was on top of the kitchen counter! i'm hoping that over time they will get used to her. there is a glimmer of hope since they have gotten used to grammy's and grammy & grandpa dallas' cats.
